My name is Kaylee Breker, I'm from Columbus, Ohio, born and raised. I have a huge, very close family whom I love. I'm the secretary at my church, Polaris Assembly of God. I'm 20 years old, and I'm a part of the Novas Project, 2010!!!

I'm a church kid! I gave my heart to Jesus when I was 4 years old, and then again when I was 12...just to be sure. I grew up in a great family, doing all the right things. I never questioned what we did or what we believed, I just went with it. I read my Bible, participated in Sunday School, and gave money to the offering. I was baptized in water, completed the Missionette's programs, and even did nursery as soon as I was old enough. I knew all about God, I just didn't know Him.

It wasn't until I was 15 that it all caught up to me. I knew so many facts, but as far as personally experiencing Christ in my life, it just wasn't there. I would listen to people share their testimonies, with some envy actually. I wanted a testimony! I wanted a story about how God had personally ministered to me in a way that only I would appreciate. If we search for Him with all our hearts, He is faithful to let us find HIM! He let me find HIM!

I'm still searching, and God is still revealing! I'm insecure sometimes, I'm fearful, and I worry. I'm not sure what my unique gifts and talents are, and I can be difficult to live with, but I'm washed in the blood and moving forward. My Heavenly Father decided a very long time ago that I was worth dying for and I accept that truth every morning and do my best to live it out.

My prayers and expectations in being apart of this Project, is that God will do an even deeper work in me. I want to see more of Christ and less of me. I'm so excited to be joined with a group of people who are passionate and hungry for what God has to offer. I'm looking forward to making new friends, experiencing new things, and traveling. I'm ready to be stretched, challenged, blessed, and molded to look a little more like Christ.

I heard it said once that our purpose in life is not to save people, that's not our job. My job, rather, is to prepare the way. To show the world who Christ is, so that they will recognize Him when He comes. I'm ready and willing to prepare the way!
